The kingdom of Saudi
Arabia has one of the busiest airports in the world. With
it's three big international airports namely the King Fahd
International Airport in Dammam, King Abdulaziz
International Airport in Jeddah and the King Khalid
International Airport in Riyadh. These three main air

is another busy air thoroughfare in the country. Opened
first in 1981, it has since become one of the busiest
airports in the world averaging more than 70,000 flights
every year and above 10,000,000 flights passengers each
year. This airport is most busy especially during the Hajj,
being near to Mecca it has a Hajj Terminal, said to be the
4th largest airport terminal in the world, which caters and
used only during the Hajj season wherein Muslims from all
over the world flock to Mecca.
The King Khalid International airport in Riyadh is another
main flights haven of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most
architecturally gifted airports in the whole world. It is
designed by Hellmuth, Kassabaum and Obata, a famous
architectural firm.
Considered as the premier gateway to the whole Saudi Arabian
kingdom and the national flight transport center, it is
proving to be among the busiest airports around the world.
More constructions are currently ongoing for more
improvements to meet the growing demand of more flights to
and from Saudi Arabia that will eventually cater to more
flight passengers.
The King Khalid International Airport averages more than 9
million flight passengers each year and about 65,000 flights
a year.
These three main airports in Saudi Arabia serves as a the
main flight of entry and exit that connects Saudi Arabia to
the rest of the world. Being a highly developed nation Saudi
Arabia is doing it's best to meet the growing demands for
